She can still get a divorce. Tell her to go to the Clerk of Court and talk to them about how to go about doing it.

She can file for divorce on her own. If he cannot be found, and she can document the last time she knew where he was, a divorce will be granted. They will try to serve him at the last known address. If that does not work, he will be served by publication in the local paper. Sometimes the will also publish the notice in the nearest metro areas newspaper that has greater circulation(ie. I live in a small town near Houston. Most of the time, they publish it in the local paper as well as the Houston paper). If he doesn't show, she will just be granted the divorce.

neone can find him unless he's dead and even then he'll still be found! not saying that in a mean or crude way at all though! just a figure of speech- if u want to hire an attorney who will then investigate and who knows wat it will cost ya then go 4 it. if not do it on ur own then as long as u have a social security number it can be done! just hopefully he didnt go and change his identity then u might have 2 call in the big boys! one good thing u have going 4 ya-just incase u find him and he's remarried that's a no-no he would be wat u call a biggamist and then u would have no problem gettin a divorce- on the other hand if he's not just have 2 hope 4 the best and do what u got 2 do!! good luck

she should consult a lawyer. I believe that most states have rules for such situations. My friend's dad disappeared on day and her mother never knew where he was and she got a divorce based on that alone. That was back in the early 70s but I'm sure that hasn't changed much.

u don't have to know where a person is to get a divorce, it gets posted in the local newspaper and when he doesn't show up to court on divorce day she gets the divorce by default. someone is not being completely honest about this to u.

Sseh does not need to find him to file for divorce... She need a good attorney and file for abandonment..... She has every right to divorce this guy on the grounds of abandonment... Why is she trying to find the guy anyways? This is not up to her to find him as he abandoned her. I wish her the best... When i divorce my ex he had abandoned me and i did not have to find him to get the divorce.....

Tell her to contact a lawyer first. It would also help if she has his social security number. They may can track him down that way.
