Are programmes like limewire and bearshare safe?

You can still get pretty bad or just annoying viruses from Limewire and bearshare. Your best bet is to buy it, or burn it from a friends CD.

As far as i'm concerned limewire is a really bad choice, to many viruses you can get infected with, if you not careful. I know from past experience. Check out downloads.com for some different choices.

No, but just being connected to the internet is not safe just like getting out of bed is not safe. But you can take precautions such as using anti-virus programs, anti-spyware programs and maybe even not using a microsoft operating system. I run Linux and have downloaded a lot of videos. I watch them just fine on Linux but when I try to run them on a windows box they want to install something first.

yes limewire is Safe but not real legal to download music!!!
just have your Anti-virus updated and you be OKAY

The safest way is to do it legally and pay for it. I suggest I-tunes
