People who tend lie all the time have alot of other issues going on. Eventually they get to a point where they themselves don't even know what the truth is anymore. I can't stand liars myself, I have no tolerance for it. Generally I find that people that lie about the little things - will lie about the big things too and I just can't have that distrust, it's not worth my time. I walk away.

it's an attention thing...people tell silly lies because they are insecure and want acknowledgement, like some kind of approval, reassurance and security....my son is the same, he comes out with some whoppers sometimes, he doesn't even know he's doing it half the time, he likes ALOT of attention especially if he wants to impress someone (girls) but he lost a few friends because of it, but if this bothers you why not tell her in a nice way that she over exaggerates a little bit and it's making you feel uncomfortable, she may have problems with communication and makes up stories just to impress people, i think it's pretty harmless, now if she lied about things that cause trouble, that would be a different story, leave her to her own devices

U no what gal.. some gals tend to tell lies and end up making it a habit... Was once schooling with one gal of the same character.. heish... packed with lies .. even now i stil keep on asking maself why she has to live a lie.. anyway that's a gud question... wil b waiting 4 the yahoo group to answer u then maybe I wil get the answers 2 . gud day

Attention seeker - trying to be centre of attention and appear better than she actually is to other people!
She will get found out and probably come up with another lie to cover her previous lies - in the end though, liars usually get caught out and ruin their reputation all by themselves!
Either that, or her life is so boring that she has to create her own little world to live in!

I knew a girl like that at school and I know a bloke that does it now. its never lies that are particularly to impress people or to get attention - not about anything important. I have no idea why people do it but i'd be really interested to know

an ex was like this, she told the most stupid lies about herself.
she once told me her father had died and then i saw him alive and well at the shops a week later.
and that was the end, i couldn't tolerate her stupid lies any longer and i haven't seen her since 2001

god knows how her kids are gonna grow up
hearin her mother lie they gonna throw up in her face
they wont care about when they mother is a fake plus
she get bust if she's tries to getaway from the situation
cumin back havin her facin it now there aint no replacin it
get back to the truth game find your base in it
cause if she cant find that she's buzz with her face in it cuz
trust !!! for real take no notice when she takes the pill lol
you know the deal with these lairs waitin for they bullshit to expire

She probably has low self-esteem and feels she needs to lie to make herself feel better. Try being nice, ignore the lies and encourage her truthfulness and you may find that you have a really good friend in her.

My old best friend was like this.
I think now that she liked attention, she liked shocking people, and she looking bigger than everyone else. I think she was jealous of who ever she lied to.
Stop talking to her because she's not worth your time.

She's probably very insecure about herself and her life compared to others and so tries to makes herself sound better than what she is. Or, she's doing it to be spiteful (if she's lying about other people) or she's just attention seeking because her own life is empty.
