He had very many friends. George Washington, Ben Franklin, Lafayette, far too many to list here. But yes although he remembered for his traitorous acts, he retained many friends to the end of his life.

He had at least one party buddy. Arnold and Burr crashed a party on the way to Canada, and found a nice freind to go with them on the way north, they didn't eat her dog and they did manage to keep her alive to have the baby.

Who says the founding fathers were dull?
