Melatonin is one of the most commonly recommended natural sleep aids. But what most people don't know, is that it won't do a thing if you aren't already deficient in your natural melatonin production.
Some better options are Valerian, Hops or PassionFlower. I actually recommend using all 3 at once. There are several brands that make this combination remedy.
Another thing to think about is your calcium intake. Calcium is the mineral that causes us to be able to relax, and if we don't have enough calcium in our diets, it can cause sleeping disturbances. Also, in addition to the calcium, we need to have an adequate Vitamin D intake as well. Vitamin D is what enables our body to absorb and utilize the calcium.

You may want to try a tea named "Sweet Dreams", it works quite well for me. Also, there are hand lotions which are made from herbs which help you to sleep. The store "Bath & Body Works" makes one called "Sleep". Also, you have sprays that you put on your pillow at night, also made from herbs, that help you. It also made by "Bath & Body Works" and called "Sleep". Light exercise before bedtime is also used along with relfexology which is rubbing your feet. Do a search on the internet for reflexology to learn more.
Hope it helps.......
