My baby dropped and I was 2 centimeters dilated at 30 weeks! I'm now at 36 weeks, and I was 4 centimeters last time they checked, but other than that, I'm not having any sign of going into labor anytime soon. This is my first baby. Everyone is different and you just have to wait it out until the right day comes! I wish you all the luck in the world!

Well, honestly I don't think there is really a definite answer to this. There is no sure way to tell, sorry to tell you. The baby can float up and down late in pregnancy. Both of mind did. The only way to know you are going to have a baby soon is if your water breaks, your mucous plug comes out, you are having regular contractions, or you are scheduled to be induced or have a c-section.

According to my books it could take hours or it could take weeks. If this is your first baby then more then likely soon but if it is baby number two or more then it could take a lot longer.
