You had bothered your eye by sleepin with your contacts in your eyes. i have done this myself, accidently...
i had to put my glasses on for a few days then i was able to give my eyes a rest until the redness went away but if it doesnt go away then you need to seek medical advice on this.
see you eye dr.. they will give you special eye drops to put in but the downside of this will be you wont be able to wear your contacts for a while until this is over with..
good luck. hope all is well..
just remember not to sleep in them again...

glad to hear it feels better, you have to watch that, infections can happen quickly and sometimes with dire results. If it's just red you may try some other type of drops that advertise they get the red out....if you just leave it alone it should look better in a day, if not I'd go see your eye doctor.

Eye redness associated with contact lens use should not be ignored, and the eye should be examined by an ophthalmologist. It is easy to cause damage with extended ware and misuse....

You probably irritated it. When my eye is irritated and red it usually takes only a few days to get back to normal.
