I have moved for employment a couple times before. If you have your taxes prepared, give your preparer all your receipts for the move, including any storage facility fees you paid, gas receipts, etc. If you use a product such as turbo tax, which is what I use, they have a question as to whether you have moved and you can enter in all your travel expenses. If you are reimbursed by your new or old employer though, you can't take the deduction. It definitely will put some money back in your pocket though if you can.

Yes, under certain situations. If you moved and worked full-time for 36 weeks, you can deduct all expenses you paid to move. You can also deduct 1/2 of the cost of meals on the way to your new residence.

Hmmm.. I think you can, and any loses that occurred during the move. Get software like TurboTax and it will lead you through all of the deductions.
