Well let's see. On 9/11 they convinced the majority of Americans that 19 Arab men hijacked 4 aircraft and flew 3 of them into buildings and crashed 1 into the ground. 9 of them are still alive and well, including Mohamed atta who talked to his dad on 9/12. In the history of mankind no steel and concrete buildings have EVER been brought down by fire yet they want you to believe that the only 3 ever to do so all fell on the same day in the same city. Before the damaged side of the Pentagon collapsed, the only damage was a 16 foot diameter hole in the ground floor, yet they told you that an entire 767 disappeared into it, wings, tail and all with no sign of the plane anywhere.and finally, they told us that United flight 93 was crashed into a small divot in the ground in Pennsylvania, when in reality, workers and first responders found no trace of an aircraft nor any body's. The workers said it looked like someone "dumped a bunch of scrap metal" in the divot. Not only that, both aircraft bearing FAA ID #s matching United flight 93 and American flight 77, are still flying for their respective airlines. What do you think about the media's lies? http://www.jonhs.net/911/

As W.C. Fields said. "There's a sucker born every minute" or was that PT Barnum. Whether they have the ability to brainwash is debatable. They do wield a great ability to influence the masses. What I would really like to see is a News Agency that does nothing but dig around and uncover scandalous behavior on the part or news reporters (Both sides of the aisle) and see how they like living in a fishbowl.

Here is an example of how marketing companies use the power of television. What do you think of when some says these words:
tissues? - Kleenex right?
gelatin? - Jello correct?
window cleaner - Windex?
This is not a coincidence. Targeted marketing repeatedly shows commercials which ingrain these and many others into our psyche. It makes or response at the grocery store automatic.
The big media has been doing this for years to push their agenda on he American public. Fortunately, I was taught to read between the lines and look to see if any story is objectively reported or slanting/distorting the story line.

I think it has te ability to brain wash some kids because they spend most of there lives just watching the media and some medias have bad inflluence on kids which make kids do the things what the actors do.

of course it does and it relies on that very fact to thrive. I consider it the "opium of the masses" with all the mindnumbing reality shows, provocative commercials, and shows based on sex and violence.
I have a bumper sticker that says "NOT FOOLED BY THE MEDIA" I boycott many channels and shows - unfortunately others don't and AMerican Idol and Survivor invade my space often and limit the ability for intellectual dialogue.

It is an old trick. Repeat what you want to get heard over an over again. Sooner or later something will be absorbed on what you want sent out. It is not much different then the commercials we see on TV. Not only do they have the ability, they use it every day.

They certainly possess the ability, but the listener should also have the capability to see through this "brain-washing" attempt, and discard the rhetoric, and salvage the truth

Yes! take Iraq for instance......they begin the news with all the bad that has happened there during the day but do they ever tell you of the GOOD that is happening? no! There are schools being built, factories up and running, police forces growing stronger, etc.

Oh heavens yes they absolutely have the ability and they use it every day. It amazes me at the amount of people who give credence to the words of the media.
