I can't find much online. I'm looking for just a cheap black paint job but nothing too crappy. I have a 97 Tacoma.

I just priced my 96 Vette and it was about $3000.00. That should be about the norm for a car that doesn't need any body work. If it does then expect more. You can call a bodyshop and they'll give you a rough guess. If they don't, hang up and call another. One of them will.

If you want lower quaility, call maco. They'll go from $100.00 to as high as you want to go.

How much depends on how nice.

If you just want it all one color and a few runs or overspray are acceptable then I would guess around $400 upwards.

The total cost can be reduced by you prepping the vehicle. I mean removing any and everything you don't want painted. Fixing any dents or rust, sanding the car etc..

Call local Automotive training schools and votech schools. Ask them if they would like a car to practice painting for the students. You normally have to pay for the supplies. And some of those paint jobs come out better then cheap-o paint places. May take a bit longer.

A can of Krylon costs about $4.

I think that you would need 2 or 3 to cover your car.
