I have the ip from a guestbook I administer-and e-mails from someone ( inapropriate) and I just wonder if i can establish that they came from the same source( i can't find out more right???)

check the header info and do a whois lookup for the ip address and the email address, then you'll know.

Unless the person has a fixed IP address it may be someone else... and... ALL of that information can be FAKED...

also, the person may be unaware of the emails, the computer in question may have a trojan horse that sends out these emails and is controlled by someone else.

yes, you can trace them back to the ip but understand an ip is like you physical address, anyone can us it if proper not secured. You should look at spam unwanted contacts and report them to your isp. good luck

yes you can, and yes you can find out more. research geo-ip lookup like at http://www.hostip.info/ (tho this one is nothing close to accurite for my ip address for some reason o.0)
