1- Manakeesh : zaatar, cheese, kishk, meat, spinach, labneh...
there are many places (furn) that make that food in Lebanon and all of them are good. To name a few : "Zaatar w Zeit" (in Achrafieh, Kaslik, Jal-el-Deeb Highway on both sides), Georges Farah Furn (Kaslik - Achrafieh) ...

2- You could have Knefeh bi Jebn in a Kaakeh at Sea Sweet or any other Arabic Sweet place like Hellab etc...

3- Foul and hummos and awarmah and other stuff like that

I think that's about it.

I agree with Kate, I think Zaatar w zeit is a very interesting concept and enjoyable atmosphere anytime. Achrafieh for the cosy students hang out experience and Jal el dib for a more open relaxed space.
Of course you could also drive up to abou zakhia's kiosk for the best manakich in town, but he can't cope with crowds so i'm not sharing him with anyone.

A Lebanese typical breakfast usually consists of one of the following (Im sure I will miss lots of stuff).

1)Mankeesh (zaatar or cheese)
2) Labneh (furun or saj),
3) Awarma + eggs,
4) Lahmeh b'ajeen + yougurt,
5)knefeh,
5)foul with homos with veggies etc..

As for the details, you'll get those once you visit Lebanon and see for yourself (or tasting for yourself).

I agree with Smutty & Kate.

I suggest you get "Knefeh" from the Sea Sweet shop, I really love it and they have branches all over Lebanon.
