Argos is a good idea, I am more the kind to pop into a shop and spontaneously pick out something, like a stuffed animal holding a heart saying "Happy Valentine's Day" or "Be My Valentine" would be appropriate. If lucky, you might have enough left over for a simple card and single flower.
Good on both of you for agreeing not to spend too much this soon after starting dating.

For 5 £ you cannot really invite her out to a dinner. But if you don't live anymore with your parents you can cook for her and place some candles. Otherwise you can go for flowers, but they won't last, only the card you give with the flowers remains. What about a book about a topic she's interested in? You can write some loving words on the frontispiece. Or why not a diary. You write the first entry describing how it was for you when you started dating her the other week.
Good luck !

Obviously a sweet small bouquet of flowers, NOT red roses, would be nice. A friendly and cute card without a lot of passion should fill the bill. It should state something like how glad you are that you two met, and how you hope your firendship might grow.

Im definitely taking my fiance to a motor pass adventure on the interior of reach collisium. i be attentive to he will like it. discover some thing manly to do. considering that valentines day won't be a mans holiday, it is going to provide him somethign to wait for each 365 days, in case you do some thing distinctive that he will have fun with

I agree with Melanie, play it cool. I would not buy her roses especially red ones as "red" stands for romantic love.
Here are a few suggestions.
- a nice bottle of hand cream
-a gardenia flower (they smell fantastic)
-orchids and a simple card
-a music CD . If you know her music tastes make her a cd. That's thoughtful.
Keep it simple, take care and best of luck.

get her a single rose and a card that expresses how you have enjoyed getting to know her and the things you like about her. make the card cute and flirty. take her out to dinner. That is sweet and nice and classy.
