Actually languages are logicless. Thera is no set rule for pronunciations in any language. Whatever looks nice n what ever suits the tongue that comes into existence.

Yes, it known as 'MAUN BRATA' and I have done it for solid eight days continuously even without uttering a word . Now a days I doing it on every Thursday. Actually, I don't think Tsunami is an English word. A better choice would be knife. The k is silent. I think it stems from our gradual change from Middle English to New English.

P in psychology is silent. The word is pronouned as sykolojee. there could be other examples too.
