Yes, you will die someday. To quote a great previous answer, "Worrying about when this might happen only adds anxiety to your life. Being ready at all times for this inevitable happening is what you should be about. Are you ready to step into eternity? For after all,... ...'it is appointed unto man once to die, and after this the judgment.'

I am an agnostic, but I have a good understanding of the spiritual. You must know as well as anyone that faith is at the core of any religious belief. Do you think that you have committed some act, or lived a life in general, that would preclude your admittance to heaven? I personally could never accept a dogma that believed in a God that would disown his/her creation, if the heart of that being was sincere; regardless of previous history. Stop feeling guilty and grow up! YOU ARE ONLY HUMAN! AS I said before, I am not a believer. I do however, encourage and support anyone's methods used to deal with this crazy world. Life is tough. Judge for yourself. Do YOU believe you should be admitted into Paradise? Ask, and you will receive your answer. May you find peace!

Anyone can have the assurance of salvation by following the Bible's teaching. A priest can't guarantee it by giving you the last rites. Only you can make the decision to be a follower of Christ and to ask him into your heart and life. Prayerfully, tell him that you know that you need Him and ask him to fill you with his Holy Spirit. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and tell him that you acknowledge that his death on the cross was a substitute for you having to be sacrificed for your sins. I know as a catholic you already believe that so you are almost there anyway. I'm so sorry that you are ill but being a child of God is the only way to face death. Sometimes, you may be healed so that you can have more time on earth to teach about God and to live a Godly life. That is my prayer for you but if that is not God's will for you I pray that you will have an easy passage to His throne. Just be sure to ask Jesus to come into your heart and be the sacrifice for your transgression. Try to remember the things you told God at your confirmation. That was between you and God and so is this. You don't need or can you have a middle man here. I'll be praying for you. May you be blessed.

First of all, I'm sorry to hear about your illness. God works in ways we don't always comprehend, but we know he has our best interests at heart.
I don't really understand why you are asking others this question, seeing as we all have not yet made it to Heaven yet. And, having said that, we all follow the bible yes, however we are all different religions and have alternate interpretations of scripture. How you are going to get to Heaven has absolutely nothing to do with what we think and what we believe, but what you yourself know to be true within your heart.
So my only advice would be to pray to the one who has made it through this earth and back to Heaven. Follow your own Catholic teachings, as they are your beliefs and what have gotten you throught life thus far. What is right to me may not be right to you according to our separate interpretations, but that does not mean we will be penalized either way. Create peace within your heart through what means you feel necessary. Whether you have burdens to be lifted from your shoulders, or actions from others or yourself to forgive, do what it takes to get rid of the unrest, so when it does come time, you have done what you could to make your soul at peace. I wish you luck on your spiritual journey.

keep believing in God. Forgive yourself (free it from all that leads you sinning) and forgive others. Ask forgiveness, make amends from those whom you have wronged. Do good deeds to other people like you mean it. In the bible the 10 commandments basically add up into 2 1. love God 2. Love other people. If you did that, you may have a chance to join Him. Not too late to do all these yet.

You cannot be sure. That's where the whole "faith and perseverance" comes in.

But step one is baptism, step two is anointing of the sick, step three is last rites and a good final confession. Other than that, let's hope anyone in such a position has been living a moral life.

Receive the Sacraments with a humble and contrite heart; particularly, the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Anointing of the the Sick. Also, go to mass and receive Holy Communion.

LIve your faith best you can in the time you have left. BE hopeful of healing, and be hopeful of Eternal Life.

I'm so sorry about this. What is your relationship with God like at this time? Do you have a Bible available? Otherwise go onto www.Biblegateway.com and you can look for scriptures on repentance confession confessing and see what God is asking of you.

What you want to do is ensure that your relationship with God is where it needs to be. Have you taken the steps where you have put Jesus Christ as the Lord (in control) of your life? Do you truly believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It's not about the words you say, but what is in your heart. If so, think of your life as the temple of God. Is your heart, and spirit fully right with God? Are there any areas in your life where something is in between you and God (God cannot look at sin).? Make sure that any sin in your life has been fully confessed and that you are truly sincere about this repentance. By doing so, you can be clean before God. God loves you and if you are putting him in full and complete control of your life and ensuring that there is NOTHING (no sin) that separates you from God, that is what He seeks. He wants that one on one relationship with you. Seek him and pray and develop that daily walk with God. Because when your time comes (which happens to us all at one time or another) he will bring you home.

Although I'm protestant, I believe that the confession to your priest is very okay in God's eyes. Because you are using this as a time of confessing and repentance. But it cannot be sincerely lip service. It has to be sincere. How God will know is not by what the priest believes, but by what is truly in your heart. I'd pray before going to confessional and ask God to give you those spiritual eyes.

The best thing is that as a Christian, you don't have to have that advocate of the priest because Jesus became our high priest and as our advocate, we can go directly to him.

If you are praying the rosary, realize that it is not the rosary itself, but the heart intentions that God is looking for.

I'd encourage you also to look at any past wrongs (I'm not saying you are a bad person here, but that every one of us does things that harm one another). Are there any people that you need to make amends to? If so, this is a great time to make amends. That way you can go in peace and be with our Lord and Savior in Heaven.

I look forward to seeing you there someday!

Have some faith. Meditate on God. Eliminate all fears from your mind. Be calm and peaceful. Understand that death is just as natural of a process as birth. Ask for forgiveness for anything that might be holding you back from believing that deserve enterance.
