Ok I think Smutty said it all.

I only like to add that having 2 small kids, my husband and I plan a car trip each Sunday to go somewhere with the kids where they could explore new places and see new things. And we usually stop at a restaurant and eat. And the kids like to see the stuff they learn in books. Like if they learn about Baalbak we take them to Baalbak etc...

With my grandpa whom I adore (he's very old and filthy rich). Okay, that was a lie...

Well in the summer time is almost always sea shore. I live 10 minutes away from the beach and Sundays are surely reserved for swimming.

If its not summer, we go out with friends to the movies, restaurants. However, unless you are a teen, the movies is NOT a good place on a Sunday afternoon. If the weather permits, I like taking walks. Sometimes we just gather ourselves and enjoy the company of each others in the comfort of our places.

Sundays afternoons are also a good time to visit your relatives (remember the filthy rich old grandpa?).

If the weather is extremely bad, you are stuck home which can also be a good opportunity so that you rest (or equally pick up fights with family members cz your frustrated). You can read a book (not that its likely to happen, but its good literature anyways), or as in my case today, browse the Internet.

Thank You

Its been like a month i was in beirut after one year apart, but when i was living there on sundays i would be sleeping because on saturday i would have been clubbing and came back home on sunday morning,

nevertheless, the best way to spend the sunday is go for visiting your old freinds, drink shisha (hubble bubble) and gossip around, or you can always go to some place like not downtown NOW of course but when i was there i used to go to DT and make fun of every single person there sitting, because i couldnt afford to pay my hubble bubble for 17 thousand LPB + taxes :S

You didn't tell us where you stay in Lebanon, there is no point in sending you to the south if you are in the north and vice versa.

When I'm in Lebanon , and I stay in the matn region but I make the trip, my husband and I have to follow this ritual at least once.

go to Batroun, buy some lahm b3ajin or pizza etc... and walk or drive down the narrow streets until you make it to the shore.
just sit there with the sea at your feet and the mountain behind you. I love to imagine what this whole area was like 100 years ago and how busy and crowded it has become.
of course, not knowing how old you are, you might rather go downtown cafe hopping.

Presuming that I have had a very good Sunday lunch then the first thing is a bit of shut-eye. I have always assumed it is correct that one's food digest better when one's eyes are closed. When I put this to a coronary consultant she said, "If you ever feel like a snooze and you can take a snooze then DON'T fight it". I will not be fighting it in about a couple of hours time.

I live on the corniche of Beirut with the best view ever. I prefer having it with a newspaper or a book on the balcon with a coffee if it is early afternoon or a wine if it is late afternoon.
