and why so?

What I ment to say was- a left handed person, if compared to a right handed person (whose deaths were natural) would have naturally died earlier...(not necessary that it has to be 9 years) It was a General Knowledge fact I heard.

It's all statistics, but... Left handed people are more accident prone, because the world is made for right handed people. Their way of thinking is reversed: like my son has had to make real effort to learn that text is written from left to right - he naturally wants to read from right to left. And I've seen that this is so with many if not all left handed kids. Things like this may make life a little more dangerous...

Untrue. There is no reason for lefties to die earlier. There may be some statistical study that found on average, that left-handed people died 9 years earlier, but that does not make it a fact except for the group studied and, even for that group, handedness may have been a random factor rather than a cause.

Hmm... This is a popular myth, and people think this is true but in fact it isn't...

It doesn't matter whether you are black or white, short or tall, left-handed or right-handed, you will probably die at the average death expectancy for your country.

I hope this helps xD!

No, it is completely untrue. Studies revealed that handedness was not related to longevity.

An example: My Dad who was right-handed, died at 51. His father, a left-handed individual, died at an age close to 90.
