Say the data is in column A, and the data is not fully displayed. Move the cursor up to where the separator line between column A and B is and move it wider. You can tell it's column width, because a cross-shaped icon with 2 arrows on the sides will display. Just click and drag at this point. Doing this should make the data become displayed in the column.

Two ways:

- Simply grab the side of the column at the top of the sheet and drag it to the right, this making the column bigger and displaying more text.
- Set the column to 'wrap' so that any text to big to display will wrap inside the column as much as it needs to display the full text. Do this by right-clicking at the top of the relevant column and selecting "Format Cells...". Then go into the Alignment tab and check the "Wrap text" check box.

Click on the column you want and highlight it. If you hold your mouse over the vertical line at the top, you will get a + sign. You can then adjust the width. Just one way to do it. There are lots of ways to work in excel. Have you tried their help in the menu? Not too hard to understand sometimes esp. with simple tasks.

Go to the top of the screen, where the letters are that indicate the column that you are in. There are lines between them indicating the end of the column. Hold your mouse over the line to the right of the column letter. The mouse cursor will change to arrows. Double click your mouse, and excel will automatically adjust the column size to make your text show. You can also click and drag it manually instead of double clicking.
