steering problem with BMW 3 series?

the steering wheel shakes, becomes very light, and drifts to both sides if am driving on a bumpy road. as a result, the car tends to drift off track unless am holding the steering.w firmly. also, the car slightly turns to the right when i press on the brakes! what could be causing such problems??

It sounds like you have multiple problems. Like struts or shocks that have failed, that may cause the steering problems. Also you may have oil or grease on the brakes on the right side or a brake failure on the left side that may cause you to drift to the right.
