From reading the politics section of answers it seem to me that most are blindly following what they see as either the 'conservative', or 'liberal' view.
What will usually happen is a republican will ask a question like 'why do liberals think that the war in Iraq is a rubbish idea' and you will just get answers like:
'because liberals are crazed anti-Americans who want $10 an hour minimum wage and think its ok that hispanics cant talk english'
from the republicans and:
'why are you so ignorant, youre obviously in the army i can tell. Why dont you read a book instead of trying to inflame people and promote a backward way of thinking?'

Or from democrats you will get questions like:
'Why dont Americans care about people dying in Iraq'

and answers from republicans:
'you can make an omelette without breaking a few eggs'
or from democrats:
'because the media is run by Bush himself and Bush is the definition if pure evil.
Why dont people address the issues instead of promoting their party

I remember 30 years ago, when American students were taught to question, not just to believe in things just because someone said this is or that is true.

It amazes me how the American people now sit back and accept statements from it's leaders as being gospel truth, because those leaders said so.

For instance, George W Bush said not long ago, that his administration is not reality based and he meant this as a good thing to be! What? He is saying that if he believes the earth is flat, that is how he is going to run the US? No wonder the US went to war in Iraq. He believed there was a link between Iraq and Saddam and Al-Quedia. Not that there was one. The reality was everyone in all the advisory bodies pointed out there were no WMD and there were no links to terrorism. But he still insisted the US attack Iraq, without actually going after Bin Ladin.

I find it hard to believe that the US is going to continue as a world power at this rate.

He doesn't believe in climate change, because he doesn't believe in reality, so he instructs his administration to change over reports produced by over 2000 us scientists, some of them nobel prize winners, just so he can say it doesn't exist as a problem?

Who elected this guy? The American People.

So you have to live with it. He is the Decider. He will decide your fate, your future. He is the one who says that God talks to him and tells him what to do. In any other country of the world, they would have him under observation. You guys instead put him in charge of your country.

Good luck, you are going to need it.

I think it is just voicing their Freedom of Speech more than partisans. How dull would this sight be if everyone agreed on everything. When our congress and presidency changes party lines all the time , I cannot believe that it is partisan. Many people in this great nation are independent by nature. The radicals on both ends try to divide the middle up for their taking. There is plenty of kooks on both ends of the political map, we just need to remember to sift through the dirt to find the gold.

Most of what you are seeing is playful political banter. It is as though you had gone to a Red Sox Yankees site and watch them banter back in forth.

Yankee Fan: The Yankees have won 26 World Championships.

Red Sox Fan: Yeah, but any this century? 2004, 2004, 2004!

Yankee Fan: Boston Sucks!

Red Sox fan: Yankees Suck!

Actually baseball is not that much fun when both teams suck or one sucks and the other is a contender, It is more fun when they both feild competitve teams and fight for the championship.

Right now you are seeing both parties feilding very competetive teams and the rivalry is at its fiercest.

Actually, only about 10-15% are, and they are the ones who scream the loudest. Its like dealing with little children...the ones who scream get the attention, while the quiet ones who actually think for themselves rather than demand get ignored.

I don't know, but its a shame that people are putting partisanship before America.

So many love to use labels on other people, neocon, liberals ect.

You are correct, get on the issues people.
