in some sences u r very true...
we grow in a falily with our siblings and parents and v have a carrer of our own choice, ve hangout with friends we can do whatever v like to do , and suddenly the day comes and v r bonded for a life time with someone v barely know....

when u r young u can turn the thing as u've wanted thm to b
but when u do a deeper thinking and u observe things more closely u may find what our ancestors did was absolutely rite
becoz marriage is not all about it all

its a sociological and biological need
i'll tell u why?
1# As u know tht sex is our basic need and and marriages are social and legal license to have sex whenever v want to
2# and when v have sex with one partner v r least likely to expose towards sexual diseases
3# When v grow older we need a partner with whom we can share our feelings, sorrows and happiness. with whom we can have fun and u can never b alone with the person around u , coz, s/he will b the one who has come a long way with u and knows u better thn any one else in this world without telling a word s/he can guess what u want , when u want, how much u want and many more things u just cannot imagine now.

if u really want to know the importance of marriage ask an old man or an old lady who has lost their partners in their younger age

THEY WILL TELL U WHY MARRIED COUPLES ARE TERMED AS LIFE PARTNERS.

First of all, I'm proud of you for serving in the military and so are millions of other people. Thank you. Recommend you all go to church. You and the kids go and invite her to come (if she balks at the idea). Get counseling from the minister if the others are not working well. You sound overwhelmed: -maybe try some quiet time like every Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner time to give you each a break. -sweetly ask for something you want and offer something she wants like wash her car for example. -quit worrying about her taking your money because most states will only give her half. -no, I don't think she resents you getting hurt. Just ask her sometime when was she proudest of you. She'll probably tell you. -try to unravel your marital mess one item at a time, one day at a time, one week or month at a time. Let her be right half of the time. Example: "You're right I was late" - that will stop the argument if you can agree with her whenever possible. -both of you watch Dr. Phil's show everyday if you can and see his website. -don't just depend on her to validate you. Also, read inspirational things and listen to Christian radio programs and TV like Joel Osteen (he has a website, too). Court her flirt with her call her Miss Universe, Babydoll, My Beloved pamper her bring her tea tell her how you appreciate her being there for you in your sickness rub her neck for her encourage her to have a hobby like quilting be a joy to her life give her free time to get her hair done or visit a girlfriend Joy to you! God bless...

Marriage is completely optional these days. Some cultures place a high premium on it, of course, but it's still your choice. Both men and women can live completely independently of one another. That's what I'm going to do.

I think it depends...my granddad lost his wife a couple years ago and he really didn't know what to do with himself without his wife. It's like he just couldn't go on. He had a new wife less than a year later. We don't blame him for that, even though we don't approve of the new wife, considering she just wanted him for his money. But we understand that after being married to his wife for 51 years, it was hard for him to live by himself without the love of his life there by his side.

Some men can live without getting married, but it's up to the man to choose. The Bible says if the man can live without committing fornication, he can choose not to marry, but if he knows it will be hard to abstain from s*x, then get married and stay in it. It's the choice of the man and woman.

I agree with you. Since marraige is a form of contract, it should have an expiry date. And can be renewed if you want to.
