The only "Hamlet" in 1996 was "William Shakespeare's Hamlet" or just "Hamlet", stared and directed by Kenneth Branagh. Is Not called "The Hamlet", there's a Bulgarian movie with that tittle, and an American Novel; none of them about Shakespeare's Hamlet.

You question is pretty generic. The Kenneth Branagh version follows the text of the book word for word. The movie is 4 hours long and is an amazing production.

I've seen it at least 10 times.
