My biggest tip would be watch College not Pro basketball. It is a much more fast paced and fundamentally sound game.

Practice your slam dunk using a mini trampoline...you'll need this for your highlight film...You'll also need Tatoos-lots of them, and bling.A headband would be nice too
Get an entourage with as many lowlifes that can fit into a hummer limo. Don't forget the sneakers - you'll need hundreds of pairs. i followed my own advice and played 9 years in the pros(by pros i mean the schoolyard)

Lotsa practice. Exercise your legs and run run run. Hustle on defense and listen to you coach.
