if we really want to reduce global warming then we have to give up the things that benifit us that is too hard but we can do another thing that is if we take a pyramid and divide it to 4 parts the upper most small part must be disposal that is dispose a little part of waste to environment and 2nd must be TREATMENT that means we should treat the waste in such a manner that it does not harm the environment and the 3rd must be recycle and reuse and the last and biggest part must be PREVENTION AND REDUCTION.AND MANY MORE THINGS

I suspect that most of that 48% 'believe' at lot of things that aren't true or have no scientific data or at least not enough to formulate even a hypothesis much less a theory. (Look up the scientific meaning of the word 'theory'.) Millions of people listen to the right wing radio dummies. They proudly call themselves 'ditto heads'....the right wing radio dummies pimp for the GOP who in turn pimp for the oil and coal mafias. The more coal and oil we burn the more money they make and the more corporate moola goes into the coffers of the Republican Party. Golly, who'd 'a thunk it? The short answer to the question follows: Nobody knows what will happen, or exactly when or to what degree over what period of time. There never was at time when this happened when there were human beings to observe and record the results. We have only heat and atmospheric physics to guide us and the data collected. The science, the data and the math tell us of slow to start, but rapidly accelerating climate change venue...a venue that we're currently seeing just the first symptoms. The science, the data and the math also tell us that burning fossil fuels can and does alter the atmospheric chemistry to the point that we've created a man made greenhouse effect far in excess of any since the first human beings evolved...another thing that 48% of Americans don't 'believe'. My sense of this is that nothing will be done and so this experiment will play out and billions of people will, at some point, want to board the Ark that doesn't exist. Belief without data is okay for religion, but it's lunacy in a country founded on the concept of science and reason of the Great Enlightenment of the 18th century. Something to think about!

I am in admiration of your concern.
One cause that is often overlooked is the effect of the huge human population which appears out of balance with our use of resources. It not only affects things like global warming, but the quality of life for people.
You might check out web sites that offer suggestions for you to minimize your personal impact on the earth. Also consider joining environmental organizations that are concerned.
If we work together, we can find solutions. Your awareness is the first step.
I find it interesting that there is denial of such a potential devastating problem. Some people are so focused on their own consumption and believe the lies of corrupt leaders. I suppose I should not be surprised, all through history, people have denied what they do not want to hear.
There are many better ideas than mine, but since a scientific problem requires a political will, we must elect politicians who will address the problem.
Best wishes to you.

The world is so old that we are just a merte spec in time......The whole global warming issue is so overrated....It is cyclic and the Earth is going through a normal cyclic change like it has since time began.....Im not anti recycle or anything like that but there are a lot more things one should be worryng about in this world besides the theory of global wamring..and it is only a theory...

We need to Reduce, Recycle, Conserve, Find Alternative sources and teach our Children.
Reduce the use of things which add pollutants to our atmosphere, Recycle anything and everything which can be recycled. We are a world of use and throw away, and this is harmful to our environment in many ways. Find alternative sources for power, not only for our automobiles, but for our home heating. The whole world needs to look out for the future, not just the present. Last and most important is Teach our children. Teach them the to recycle, inform them of the harmful nature of pollutants, show them how to conserve, and protect nature. The children of the world are the FUTURE OF THE WORLD....Inform and teach them and they WILL make a difference.

i can do something
But first you have to know that the temperature of atmosphere and the value of CO2 are more important because the human activities dry the underground. I mean the deserts become larger.
The dryness let the sun rays increase the temperature and because of missing vegetation the co2 can't be recycled.
That why my inconvenient solution is to rehydrate the dry lands all over the planete
like that
