This is not a Jewish question, it is about the Israel government.

That's only part of the reason America is hated world wide. American foreign policy has created lots of hatred since WWII, without including the support for Israel.

I think its a lot more than that.

Our government supports Israel partly out of fear of appearing anti-semitic, and partly because certain circles which are extremely politically active see the Jews returning to Israel as being the forrunner to the apocolypse, which those circles hope is comming soon. (As to the former reason, somehow prejudice has changed from being mean towards people and has gone towards not pandering to those certain groups.)

However, I would also like to add that the United States also makes a convenient target no matter what the situation is. For instance, collectively the United States government and the private citizens give more in charity around the world than any other nation. Yet, we are the first ones shamed for not "doing enough" whenever we step forward and offer to help out after a natural disaster.

We're damned if we do, and we're damned if we don't.

When you say "the world" hates America what exactly do you mean? All of the world? Part of the world?
I would say that the parts of the world that genuinely hate America are those parts that are places that are non democracies and places where anti semetism is widespread. That being the case, who gives a ___ what they think?

The truth of the matter is that it is irrelevant what people think of America. That is no way to conduct foreign policy. What matters is what is correct or not.

And as for your little comment that Israel is a theocracy... please explain to us the mechanism as to how the Israeli rabbinate fixes the elections and makes the Israeli courts follow Jewish religious law and enforces everyone to be religious? Because the reality is that it IS a democracy.

And BTW, nice way of covering your ___ by saying your best friend is Jewish.

America has many enemies in the middle east and your point might have some validity to it but for the most part I think they generate they hate they do now because of cold war policies. So much intervention by a single country was bound to get some yuks attention and now that the USSR has gone extinct the only nation to pin their problems on is the US. I have watched Arab tv before and sometimes I hear them talk about Israel and sometimes I hear them talk about America.... really though they talk about anyone or anything that pisses them off, if you aren't one of them you aren't with them and therefore in their archaic thought you are the enemy and must be dealt with accordingly. I think the most popular phrase right now on arab tv is "Death to America" not "Death to America because Israel has been suported by them since it's creation!"

Also I just noticed you put the 'world' and I have just been talking about Arabs. Sorry but I would wager that nearly half the world could care less.

You're question just doesn't deliver the goods.

Nope, and somebody needs to read history more often. The reason is that the world cannot and will not accept Israel as a nation

Why will they ever admit they support of Isreal? Actually Im pretty sure they do. And you know why? Cause alota people in politics are Jews, thats the only reason, and me personally, I hate Isreal. And if any Idiot calls me anti-semetic, your an idiot, my views are based on actions, not religion.

Thats another thing I dont get, whenever your against Isreal your automatically anti-semetic. Its like a double whammy, not only do you get crap for hating a country, you all of a sudden hate a whole religion

and may god assist hezbollah, and hamas in overthrowing such a worthless country.

What kind of person (or country) turns his back on a friend just because others don't like the friend? Isn't that when a friend is needed most? And it tells your other friends that you are really pretty shallow and might not stick by them when times are tough.

What are we suppose to do, stop supporting them. They would be gone in a month.

If all the Christians and Jews disarmed in the middle east they would be killed.

If all the Muslims in the middle east disarmed, the violence would stop.

We can't help the rest of the world is anti-semetic. We supprot the first stable and working democratic republic in the middle east. We also can't help that France and other European countries can't back up their commitments.
