Make a Kit Car. This will be almost entirely gadget free. If you have enough cash then you can go for an M3 CSL or a 911 GT3RS as both of these are road legal race cars that have had most gadgets removed in order to save weight.

You have a problem with gadgets going wrong, why not buy a car with a reputation for few faults. e.g Toyota or Honda.
Buy these and electric windows etc will not cause problems. The only time I had a problem was years ago with a Volvo that had manual windows.

buy a classic. like a mini etc. no poxy lamba sensor failures.. no silly engine management lights coming on to trick you into the dealers where they will take £150 ph just to tell you they didnt find the fault anyway. no poxy emmisions tests to pass. and u can insure them with lascaster classics for next to nothing fully comp. a mini would cost u £100 per year. Doesnt have to be a mini. that was just the first one to spring to mind. i drive a posche 944, its most reliable car i have ever owned and is 17 years old. in comparison i have owned new mondeos, saabs, and vauxhals.. they are all rubbish and designed for 'demanufacture' ie.. design to breakdown so that the manufacturers dont manufacture themsleves out of business.

Because of my finances I leased a 2006 Chevy Colbalt. No power windows, locks, or anti lock brakes. If you want a nice car without all the gadgets you could special order it from a dealer.

You'll be lucky to find one these days. Unless you make a kit car.
My Corolla was very good: it never broke down, nor did anything ever go wrong with it. So I bought another when the time came to change, which I only did because the mileage was getting high.

The Caterham7 - you can't get much more gadget free than one of these :) http://www.caterham.co.uk/
Or the Lotus Elise / Exige
http://www.lotuscars.com/
Or you could always get a classic, such as a Mini Cooper, and restore it to as new condition - http://www.minisport.com
