no one has said that i was.....i heard this somewhere and was just curious if it meant that a gender biased person is completely against the male race....or completely against the female race...

a bias is a preconceived leaning towards a particular view or side. it does not imply a complete siding with one view against the other, merely the tendency to see one's viewpoint as more agreeable than the other.

think of a biased coin. this means heads (or tails) comes up more often, on average, than the other side. this does NOT mean that the coin only comes up one way 100% of the time, just that over time, it will TEND to come up one side xx% more often than the other.

It doesn't mean either. A gender bias is a preference for one gender over the other. It has nothing to do with being against either gender. If you do have a hatred of a particular sex, that is a different issue. Also, males and females are not separate races.

It means you are biased against one or the other. Male or female against male or female.
