Sorry, I realize this is somewhat gross, but I have to ask. What does it mean when you defecate and it is extremely painful, feeling like you are defecating shards of glass? It happened to me today, and when I wiped, there was blood. It's not my period. I ate some pizza for dinner, if that helps in anyway. What does this mean?

If it was really hard you might have irritated hemrrhoids. even if you didn't know you had them. if you think you are constipated, try more h2o, fruits, veges, etc. If it hurt more internally, and you continue to bleed, you should go to ER. If you don't go to ER today, call your doc in the AM and let him know and decide the best thing to do

Blood and difficulty in passing motion is not a good thing. You should consider a more cleansing diet such as a detox diet.

On what to eat, here is a site that gives free information frequently http://www.detox-cleansing-diet.com See if it helps.

If you continue to have your above mentioned problems, it is best to consult a doctor.

You should probably see a doctor about this.
It could be something as simple as a hemmorriod, or more complicated.
Make sure you drink plenty of fluids, the doctor may suggest a stool softener. Try to avoid getting constipated.

You need more liquids/fiber in your diet. Or, you could be on some medication that dries out your bowel movement.
Change your diet and get plenty of water and veggies/fruits in it.
You may consider giving yourself an enema if it continues.

it hurts me sometimes too, but im only 17... i guess the best way to get rid of it and see if it comes back is go on a detox, or take a laxative, somethin that will make the stool soft, and see if it will still hurt.
