there is a device that you can buy at any music equip. store that can do it for you ,you can remove vocals bass etc. cant remember the name but its about the size of a portable cd player and the people at the store will know what you are asking about but it only works on cds as for mp3s there is plenty of music editing software out but i don't know of any that are free.

you mean on a computer? you can always go into iMovie (or windows movie maker on a PC) then drag in the song. cut off the part you dont want then trash it. then resave the edited song. might be an easier way but i dont know it.
