That show is great, I laugh my @$$ off pretty much the whole way through every episode, plus Steve Carell is a great actor.

The office is hysterical! I was crying last week I was laughing so hard about "Ben Franklin" and the stripper. I do find that people either get it or not, so there are many people who dont like it.
Also, Its amazing how you feel either embarrassed or squirmy for some of the stuff that Steve Carell does on the show. He really is a great actor.

I still stick to my opinion, that the English 'Office' is better than the American. The American version isn't bad, but no offence intended, Americans have a totally different style of humour from the English, and the American Officer was too much like slapstick- it didn't have the edge of the original.

Someone made a very decent point when they said that the English version is cringing and humiliating because the two main characters have no idea how terrible they really are, while the American version is more redemptive with the main character occasinally having good ideas etc.

I think that it is a very good show, but that in comedy stakes it can't compare to some of the more traditonal stuff- Monty Python and the like.

I mean no offence to Americans when I say the English one is better- its just a case of different culture, different humour

I almost never actually laugh out loud, but The Office is one of the few shows that actually works for me. As long as it doesn't jump the shark.

"Lemon~ade" and Ryan's look
(can't do Spanish n on this keyboard)

It's too bad that the haters can't appreciate BOTH the US and UK versions, guess some people can't wrap their heads around more than one culture and acknowledge that BOTH shows are far better than 90% of the crap that is called "comedy" by TV execs.

But there are some scenes that are just painful to watch, like "Prison Mike" totally didn't work for me, it was just way too divorced from something that I could picture my stupid boss doing.

its the best comedy on TV right now.

i like both the English version and American.but a English will like the English version better because it relates to their culture.and Americans will like the American version better because it relates to our culture.

so there will never be an unbiased view on which is better.
