Something that's sleeveless; has a hood (like a monk's); something that's tapered to fit, but doesn't tuck in; and that's cut just at the waist. Buttons or no buttons, I don't know.
Could I modify an existing shirt to do that?
Do you have any other good fashion ideas, or references that you have personally seen? Thanks.

why don't you like yourself better? a burka would do it all. a hat with a veil would hide your face but obscure vision. just accept yourself the way you are and get on with life.
