can someone give me a brief description of what happens in the film the matrix... who are the goodies and the baddies??

i watched it the other night determined to understand how it works, but its confusing to explain.

ok in the film triogy the matrix the god guys are the people who are free from the matrix is the rebelipn the badguys are the machens that control the matrix world now the machens live of the farmd humans who are containd in the matrix mentaly and in some sort of bath tubs phisicaly noow som other badys are programs like the french man or are agents like agent Smith
however some programs are good and are hunted down to be deleated
Goodies: Neo, Trinity, Morpheus, Tank, Dozer, Switch. Everyone in Zion etc etc
Baddies: Agent Smith, Agent Brown, Agent Jones, and all agents in case you hadn't guessed lol.
There is a surprise bad guy which I won't tell you except that it is someone who is nominally trusted at least

A brief description? Hard with such a complex movie as the Matrix- you should watch it for answers. But okay, a brief rundown:
Goodies: Neo, Trinity, Morpheus, Tank, Dozer, Switch. Everyone in Zion etc etc
Baddies: Agent Smith, Agent Brown, Agent Jones, and all agents in case you hadn't guessed lol.

In the future the human race are slaves and are used as batteries for the machine world, we are plugged into a 'virtual' reality program (The Matrix) to keep our brains ticking over to keep producing energy.
Some people break free and hide near the earths core 'unplugged' and free to dance to cr@p tribal music. I'd rather stay plugged into the matrix cause they get to eat steak lol
Watch the first film and pretend the other two were never made.

It would be difficult to sum up what the movie means in a couple of sentences so it's best not to try. If you want to understand the origins of who is good and bad it's worth watching the animatrix. This will give you an insight into what started the conflict between the humans and the machines. It would be difficult to say that the machines are bad when you take into account what the humans did to them in the beginning. The machines are just fighting back the only way they know how.
