Square Root Of 3000

2016-10-04 04:39:00 · answer #2 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

This site has a calculator where you just put the number in and it explains how to get the answer, and give you the answer as well: http://www.webmath.com/simpsqrt.html

To find the square root of this expression...
First, look at the "number" part of your expression, the 3000 .

3000 is 100 times 30 ...
...and 100 can be written as 10 to the power 2.
So, the 100 can just be pulled outside of the radical sign, as a 10 ,
and the other factor, the 30 , just stays inside of the radical sign.
Or, = 10 .

Now, we begin to examine the variables under the radical sign.

The final, simplest radical form of the square of 3000 = 10 square 30

Any calculator can calculate an approximation of the square root of 3000. However, it's always a good thing to SIMPLIFY the square root, so that it remains exact.

sqrt(3000) is the same as sqrt(30 * 100).

Now, we can reduce this to

sqrt(30)sqrt(100)

And we know that the square root of 100 is 10, so we have

sqrt(30) [10], or

10sqrt(30)

However, sqrt(30) = sqrt(4 * 7), so we have

10sqrt(4)sqrt(7).
We know what the square root of 4 is; it's 2, so we have

10(2)sqrt(7)

20sqrt(7)

The simplest way is to use a calculator.
Doing so gives √3000 = 54.8 to 1 decimal place.
Also √3000 = √(100 x 30) = 10 x √30 = 10 x 5.48 = 54.8

Dang, the keyboard doesn't have a square root sign, but well:

root3000
=root100*root30
=10root30

Thats if you leave it in surds form, otherwise, the calculator answer is:
54.77225575

Mm well lets say if you need to find the square root of 100 .. The square root is 10 because 10*10 = 100 . If you need to find the square root of 25 the answer is 5 because 5*5=25 . The square root of 36 is 6 because 6*6=36 . Do you see the pattern? I don't know how else to explain

Use a calculator. 50 times 50 is 2500, so it's more than 50. It's somewhere between 54.75 and 54.78.
