i have iqon computer windows xp, was reformated and have no driver for video controller vga compatable

XP probably has one. Uninstall the one you have and reboot your computer and XP will detect the video card and look for a device driver. Right click My computer - properties - hardware drivers - then uninstall the video driver. I had that problem and that's what I did - I had sound and no video - and it fixed it.

if you know the manufacturer of your graphics card as well as the model name and or number you can get the driver direct from the manufacturers website.
the two most common graphics chips are ati and nvidia

creative labs do graphics cards as well

there are other companies.
please do not go to any site other than the original manufacturer otherwise you may be installing more than you bargained for. lots of the driver sites are in essence trojans that infest your computer with all kinds of malware that is almost impssible to remove.
