I have been bisexual since I was a teenager. I have dated and/or had sexual relations with both men and women. I currently feel more drawn to women than men.
However, there have been times that I was talked down to and disrespected by 'full' lesbians.

I have felt the same way with some lesbian friends of mine. It's like they don't trust you because your bi!!! Be bi-sexual is not as accepted as being gay or straight.....they think you can't choose and they don't respect you!!!

I definately know that feeling. Some of them think that we're going through a bi "fad" or something. I really hate lesbians who have a bad attitude towards me, and judge me while hating it when people judge them. However, I've also had men look down upon me. Say, if I rejected a guy's advances, I would be labled as a "lesbian." However, being bi indicates you have little or no gender preference, while lesbianism indicates a preference for the same sex! That makes a world of difference. Besides, I'm bi with a male preference ^_^!

A lot of people think that there is no such thing as Bisexuality, because they all think the same thing. "You can only like one sex". But that is not true. I've been attracted to both sex's my whole life. And I'm 15. Also, people usually think that Bisexuals are unfaithful. They think that if we're with a woman, and a guy starts hitting on us, that we will just say "Screw that, I'm hooking up with him!" It's completely untrue. Though I do get attracted to both sex's, I am completely faithful. When I'm with a person, I plan to stick with them until there is a break up. I do not believe in cheating. Bisexuals aren't always looked down on though. I think I can honestly tell you, that there are plenty of faithful, loving, and caring Bisexuals in the world. But they haven't come out yet. Whoever does look down on us, shouldn't really be doing that. After all, everyone has a reason to be looked down upon. Don't you think?

I am a gay man, but I am friends with several lesbians. My lesbian friends have all had bad experiences dating bi females. Their past bi dates have always ended up with men in the end and it has hurt their feelings. On the other hand, most of my gay male friends used to identify themselves as bi, but now date men exclusively. I believe that many lesbians have been hurt by a bisexual female at some point in their lives and that may be why they take it out on you and other girls like yourself.

People tend to attempt to bring you down to their level. They cant have a prolonged relationship with a man or woman so why should you. Either way you will be looked down upon.
