This morning early about four am, i took my dogs out for a wee as usual. As i got to where we park our cars i saw 3 hooded figures checking out cars, staring into the windows etc. I stood watching them for a while and they even had the cheek to wave at me. Anyway when the dogs had finished they had moved down towards the car's where i was standing. I asked them what they were doing and they told me they were on their way home. The one then asked me what was i doing so i told him i was watching him. They just stood staring at me, must say they looked very scary but then i had my two body-guards with me. I went home , phoned 999 and told them what was going on. Would you have reported them or just ignore them. I feel that what i did was the right thing:))

yes you did the right thing. besides, if it wasn't for your intervention, then those guys would've done something like smash the windows of the cars and robbed its possessions. glad you stood your ground and you didn't allow their presence intimidate and provoke fear in yourself. if i was in your position, then i would've reported them, but its understandable if you were to feel worried about the repercussions afterwards. such as revenge attacks for instance. you did the right thing and i applaud you for your courage. if only there were more people like yourself in society today

You were brave to stand your ground - I think I would have been too intimidated to stay where I was while a group of hooded figures walked towards me!

I think you did the right thing - the police need to know of anything suspicious going on so they can keep an eye on the areas and on the people being suspicious! I've been working in a petrol station for a wee while to save extra cash and one night this week, a bunch of lads were checking out a car one had driven in. It looked like they were possibly going to buy it, but the driver was a dodgy guy so we took all the details, just in case. If we don't do it, who will? Then these people can keep on going! Grrr lol

You shouldnt have phoned 999, thats for emergencies only. u cudve reported it to your local police station, then again they cudnt have done anything unless u actualy saw them breaking into the cars. there is a chance that the lads cudve been on there way home n u were just being suspicious. its one of them questions where both sides of the argument were right and wrong.

you did the right thing.
and may I say- you are a brave woman to have confronted them..
However if it were me, I would probably just have gone home and made the call saying I saw 3 suspicous looking people in my neighborhood. I would have let the police determine their actions/intentions.
Good for you.
