The speed of sound under normal atmospheric conditions at sea level 21 C (70F) is 344 m/s
so c/344 = 871 489.703

light is 871,489 times faster than sound

Sound speed is about 340 m/s
Light speed is about 300 million m/s
So light goes about million times faster than sound

Light travels at 300000 metres per second and sound travels at 330 metres per second. So subtract it and you'll get the answer. That is light travels 229670 m/s faster than sound...

the speed of light in vaccum is 300000000(8 zeros) metre per second and the speed of sound in air is 330 metre per second. therefore light travels much faster than sound , approx 299999670 m/sec faster.

i think light speed is exactly299,792,458 m/s
but sound speed is 344 m/s
the diffrence is about 299792114
