Not necessarily, I don't wear make-up when I go to work. Only on occasions like parties and stuff.

Not by law, but society in general is pretty insistent on it. I think it comes back to self-hate taught to young girls, fuelled by the cosmetics industry.

Of course there are some jobs where it's required, like parhaps some restaurants and of course, in media. In those situations, women are shown as pinups, not as individuals.

Honestly, I don't beleive in makeup and cosmetics. It's a hideous industry that promotes insecurity and self-hate. Hating/feeling insecure about your own natural features so that you must hide them and look different. Women have always been expected to look a certain way, as well.

It's so disgusting.

So as far as societally, as a whole, the expectation to wear makeup is definetly there, although sometimes subtle.

No, not required...
Most women look better with some make-up..
Some women need more than others...

Well, I don't think so. I don't own any, at all, and I seem to have lived to tell the tale!

I don't have a problem with people wearing make up if they want to, but personally I just think there are better things to do with my time and money than spend ages drawing another face on over the top of the one I already have.

Not all women. Some look perfect without makeup, and others could use a little toning. It all depends on what an individual woman's face looks like.

No well at least i dont think so . There is nothing wrong with wearing make up to enhance your natural beauty .But it should not be something that you have to do everytime you leave the house .

There is nothing that screams desperate to me more than a lady who looks like shhe has an inch of paint on her face ...

Good question.

No, it's not a requirement. It's optional.

Some women never wear it. Others use cosmetics occasionally and others wear it daily.

It is not a question of neccessary or not. We can't deny that with a touch of make-up, it makes a whole difference in our appearance. I think it is nice to use some make-up occasionally on special functions instead of just looking the same day in and day out.

Nope. It's optional. I don't wear makeup on a daily basis, and never wear it to work.

Occasionally, if I'm going dancing, I'll put some on. It's fun playing "dressup" sometimes. But I wouldn't want to do it all the time.

of course NOT!!! some women look great without it and they don't need makeup so they don't use it. Some women don't need makeup but they still use it because they think it'll make them look pretty. People use makeup because they don't believe that they are beautiful for who they are.
