I don't have much sympathy with Pete Doherty, but I agree that no matter how stupid and self obssesed he might be...he is not a master criminal!

It might help if the pimply sychophants who worship the twit took a back seat for a while. The fact that he was allowed to perform at live aid 2???/..now THAT was a criminal offence!

Where the hell are his family in all this?????

He should really give up that stuff, as an alcoholic I know how hard it is to give up something like that but it can be done.
I would just make sure that he can't buy the stuff. He should have to pay for a minder to keep him clean - he could afford it easily and it would help him and give someone a job too. It would also allow him to make better music.

If this is a wordplay on 'rocks' then I see your point. On the other hand, a lot of people feel that society as a whole is too lenient when it comes to crime and punishment.
