Prisioners in Cell Block H? It was about female prison inmates and was on in the USA around the early 1980's?

It was called Prisoner here in Australia...what a great show. It was axed in the 80's. Old Lizzy is now dead. Old Bea is still going, I saw on telly the other night.
I am glad of course that the USA is getting some of our shows.

The show was 'Prisoner'. It ran in Australia from 1979 to 1986. It ran in the US on reruns for years after that. It was remade into an American TV show called 'Dangerous Women' in 1991 using the characters but set outside a prison.
It ceased production in Australia because it got really stupid in the end. I watched the first few years but it just got so silly it wasn't worth watching.
