Yes and No. most people come to this site for advice or to give it. If everyone started having a bit of fun, then how would we know what to take serious, worse still a complete innocent could follow some fun/dangerous advice and end up in hospital/trumatised.you may say nobody could be so daft, but after a lifetime in construction, i have seen some daft things.
IF you want a bit of light hearted fun make it obvious towards the end of the joke.HAVE FUN

Yes, i fully agree ,
it is vital that we get some lighthearted questions ,
now and then ; I love them!!!
life here, would be utterly dreary without our 'dose' of humour
Those without wit ,have the choice
NOT, to answer the humorous questions
They can just move on, look to their own interests
If they wish to remain po- faced and dreary ,
they are free to do so ,
BUT PLEASE !!!!
do not try to stop the laughter, in here !!!!
That belongs to us !
It is what makes the site fun and intelligent too..
As for point grubbing !
What a wasted effort !
Points are of no real value , just fun to accumulate .
A little pat on the back for acheiving perhaps ....,
.
Anyone who worries about grabbing points,
deserves to have fun poked at them
I must admit, i do not ask a lot of questions , I just love to answer .
Laziness, on my part maybe , But who's counting LOL!

Light hearted fun, in the form of a question, absolutely. Those pitted with vulgar, and nonsense, I don't enjoy. If I have reported anyone, it is generally because they are spam (putting some link that makes no sense or relative to the question), or that they are just swearing up a storm.
I am all for having light hearted fun, but many, don't know the line, and cross over it.
:-)

I thought that it was meant to be fun and not life changing in anyway , i have asked a few serious questions , but don't expect any serious answers ... some people take it all way too serious , one of my real pet hates tho is when someone disagrees with u and then goes thro all your questions and u get violations for questions u asked months ago !! Ohh sad !!

Life will send you plenty of aggravation without looking for it. A little lightheartedness is a good thing.
If I myself think something is stupid just won't respond. Just do me one favor and don't make it "sound" or type serious. There are those who would take a sarcastic answer seriously.
That is my major concern with this venue. I have been repairing things for over 30 years fixing things and some of the answers her frankly scare me if someone takes them seriously (that doesn't know better)

too true. in a way it's satisfying to get a good bit of shite for some answers, it means you've done your job well and got right up someones nose. the more the heckling the more satisfied you should feel, my best was 17 thumbs down and a load of abusive emails. job well done i feel. and always room for improvement. on the downside folk don't take you seriously when you answer seriously

I like to read your questions just to see what lengths you go to in an effort to be funny. I expect we'll see you on TV before long as the fella with the over inflated ego. I've got a brilliant sense of humour but you just 'get on my t**s'!

Sure, most people don't like it because they want only completly serious questions. They think that if they have been on this site for a while they own it and can decide what questions are posted.
