Well, actually here in the philippines OPM(Original Filipino Music) Bands are more popular than international bands... The most famous OPM band today are Hale, Spongecola, Sponge Cola... You can visit the website www.tristancafe.com to hear some of their music.
But if your asking about the international bands
The most popular likely is Greenday
It depends on the season... There was a time when "simple plan" was the most popular international band in the philippines....
But right now "the fray" and "the all american rejects" are now gaining popularity in the country.

The most famous band in my city would be the 'Royalt Camp' the most famous group that came out of my city is Bone thugs 'n' Harmony, and one of the famous ppl iz also Ray Cash

Im from South Texas down here the famous bands are spanish... like the bad Intocable or La Mafia great bands... as far as hip hop goes i would have to say South Park Mexican is very popular
