NO, Bush is not doing good. Probably his EXPECTATIONS were different when he attacked IRAQ. May be his intentions were not that bad as it looks now. But we all know he is trapped now. He is not left with any good choices.

What should he do now ? well, I think first of all he should apologize to the Muslim world and rest of the world. Secondly, he should send more and more troops to IRAQ to stop violence out of anger. BUSH should stop acting as a politician and start working as a true human being.

No he is not! It's time to set down rules. Let the soldiers do want needs doing. At a time of war you don't send your men into a middle east country and tell them you can't go into a religious buildings! When the terrorist are hiding there weapons there. Give the soldier free reign to do what needs doing. If that means going into religious building then so be it. Also have the soldiers have code words known only to them which would prevent the enemy from pentrating them. If the Iraqi people don't like the new rules then it's time to pull out. This is a war for crying out loud and terrorist don't play fair!
On a side note how interesting that most people are complaining on how the democrats want to tie the presidents hands. We have been at war in Iraq since March 19, of 2003! The republicans have been in control of congress and only came out of control on Jan of 07! The Bush Adminstration has had it's hands free to deal with the situation for almost 4 years but lets blame the democrats because nothing has been done to get the job done successfully for almost 4 years!

I've read the other answers and noticed that everyone that said he is not doing the right thing, didn't give an answer to the second part of the question. They sound a lot like their political counterparts.

He is doing the right thing, but their are people in this country that are so liberal and democrat that they would have criticized him no matter what he did or does. They don't care about anything but getting control and they use everything and every issue as a tool.

Yes, He is increasing his family's stake in the oil industry by invading and overthrowing the biggest oil region on the planet with no repercussions or accountability.

It's defiantly a good move for him and his family's oil empire.

The only thing I see wrong is calling this reinforcement a surge. It just gives the wackos something else to whine about.
