I remember her name alone and the city were we used to live when we were kids of around 5 years age.

We were friends when we were around 5 years old....she had to leave the residing neighbourhood after her dad passed away.Her name was Lakshmi and the city was chennai in southern india.This happened way back around 1980-1982.

It is a very uphill task.
1. There are weekly papers in Chennai, like Mylapore Times and Adyar Tmes, Advertise in them, ( they are really reasonable).
If she is in Chennai, someone may respond.
2. Ask radio mirchi to ask about her.
3. If you know her parents name and from where they came, you can start your adventure.
You should have mentioned her name and address on this forum also along with your question.

well you have a great start... there are a lot of sites for finding school friends and if you know the schools she could have gone to... then perhaps go onto those sites (do a google search) and see if her name comes up... otherwise you may have to do some of your own investigating, by phoning information, looking at street maps etc... think of anything that could help... even if its any hobbies or sports she liked... etc, maybe that will help narrow down the search somewhat... otherwise you may just have to wait and see if you're ment to find eachother again...

i think there is no need to find her. if your motive is to find and marry her....she is 30 now and married.
why dont you understand friendship is not a one sided relation. if she never wanted to find you why you are worried.
