I think the Knicks are a very interesting team, there is some talent there (and they have played better as of late), but it doesn't mesh well all of the time together. The Atlantic division is so weak, the only way that they make is winning the division, I don't see them getting in any other way, and right now I would give the edge to Toronto or New Jersey winning the Atlantic Division.

People who say the Knicks players are all for themselves probably haven't watched a Knick game in over 10 years. They have great scorers in Crawford and Marbury, and Curry is becoming a presence in the post. They've also got the young talent in David Lee, Channing Frye, and Nate Robinson. Also, Crawford is only 27 and Curry is still young.
But unfortunately they will miss the playoffs, unless about 40 wins will get them in, which it might.

I am a Knicks fan myself but I don't think they're good enough to make it to the playoffs. Their backcourt is overcrowded and the players don't know their real roles on the floor. Their best bet into entering the playoffs is to win the lowly Atlantic division, which is well quite unlikely to happen. And regarding the brawl, it won't change anything in my opinion.
Unless they make a move on their backcourt (Come'on deal Francis, Starbury, Q'Rich, and even Robinson) and START DAVID LEE!, they'll be headed to the lottery each season. Knocking on the Knicks managment here...Please guys make room for improvement.

I doubt it, they just have not found the balance between
their players.
You cant have Stephon Marsbury and Steve Francis on
the same team for exaple.
Maybe if they found some way to get more cooperation
between their players just through the end of the season
they might make it.
But they definatly will not win and after this season they need
to make some big changes to their franchise.

Don't forget to thank the teams in the Eastern Division who are even worse than the Knicks.
Actually, I hope they just miss the playoffs so they have a chance for the top lottery pick.

Unfortunately no. They are sorely missing the qualities of a top center (Pat Ewing), the leadership of a court general (Mark Jackson), the outside threat of a pure shooter (John Starks), the defensive brilliance of an unselfish power forward (Charles Oakley) and the overall passion and never-say-die-attitude of the team.
Sadly, you don't see that at the current roster and they should go.
