Hello,

ANS: No! this makes no sense at all to me, & I've been in computing for sometime. RJ11 is a jack used to connect a telephone cable to a master BT phone socket and USB cable & USB is a totally different technology (USB is used for data transfer mainly).

**You might well use a USB cable from a Gamin to a laptop but the USB cable wouldnt use an RJ11 connector as far as I know. The USB cable might have its own proprietory connector but I doubt it will be an RJ11 (it could look similar granted?).

Don't take a chance of wireing it incorrectly and causing damage to your system. You can buy an adapter here for under 4 US dollars http://www.pcloft.com/rjtousbfead.html If this is a VoiP device then you will need an adapter that includes the built in audio codec and such and would need something like one of these http://www.amperordirect.com/c/c-internet-adapters/index.html I hope this helps. Good Luck
