I eventually found an industrial strength tile and grout cleaner and its just great;however it has to be used with caution as the Ammonia content is really strong. But you spray this stuff on,leave it 5-10 minutes then just rinse it off with the shower ,if any little marks remain they can be spot cleaned with the same stuff and a small brush.
Good luck !

A product called The Works. Just spray it on wait a minute and use a soft no scratch sponge then rinse. It shines tile and cleans grout very well! Make sure you have adequate ventilation and wear gloves.

According to the really annoying adverts where the guy shouts a lot the best product for everything is Cillit Bang. I have never tried this myself but did find that a special mold and mildew cleaner works very well (I can't remember who makes it though!) and you can get grout whitener in most DIY stores.

HELLO, WHEN I CLEAN MY SHOWER I USE EASYOFF OVEN CLEANER, THE UNCENTED STUFF AND I LEAVE IT SOAK IN FOR ABOUT HALF AN HOUR IT ABSOLUTLY REMOVES ALL KINDS OF NASTY STUFF, WITH GENTILE SCRUBBING WITH A GOOD BRUSH, AND HOT WATER, I RUN THE SHOWER SLIGHTLY AND IT CLEANS WELL, AS FOR YOUR GROUT IF ITS OLD IT MAY NEED REPLACEMENT, ITS NOT HARD TO DO AND YOU WILL NEED A GROUT SEALER WHEN YOUR DONE, TO PREVENT FUTURE STAINS. YOUR LOCAL HOME DEPOT OR LOWES, OR YOUR LOCAL LUMBER STORE WILL HELP YOU WITH THIS, BUT TRY THE EASY OFF FIRST! REMEMBER TO USE RUBBER GLOVES AND PAPER FACE MASKS FROM THE DRUGEST, YOU WILL BE PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS I THINK. BEST WISHES, TO YOU IT WORKS REALLY!!

Best thing you could possibly use is white vinegar. When I moved into a flat a few years ago, the bathroom was kinda messy.
I tried all sorts of chemical cleaners, none of which worked. So I asked my mother's advice and sure enough, vinegar did the trick.
Hope this helps.

Ajax and a nylon scrubby pad work the best for stuff you can get at, I don't know what to tell you for the grout except to dermal it out and regrout.
