Hi, there!

Do you have any advice as it pertains to the best USB 2.0 Link Cable and its default sofware for transferring files? I am interested in transferring some files from my desktop to my laptop. Obviously, I suppose that the cable is pretty much the same in all or most brandnames, but the software should vary among brandnames.

On a related note, do you think it is wiser to use a generic cable and a third party software? What third party software do you recommend?

Go with the USB 2.1 Link Cable. You can't go wrong.

The boxed version of PCMover should have the USB cable included. It is all over Fleabay for $10 or so.
