President is respected..no doubt. Balasaheb is just pointing what Hon'ble president is supposed to do, if the case is forgotten. President did not hold mercy plea of a man from Kolkata 2 years ago, who had been convicted raping the girl. That man was executed. Now, this man, to whom the President is holding, may have links to extremists. They don't bother to hijack the fleet or do anything that may cause several innocent lives and it is just intolerable that Hon'ble president is leaving the loose end, which innocent people of India may have to fill. President is respected always, as long as he makes no mistake. God forbid, if such thing would happen because of Afzal Guru, all of us will start giving expert comments against the president. We all love the president, but it appears that he has made his mind to serve one particular community's person. Don't look the Person on the post. Just look at the post that person is supposed to serve.

I have greatest regard for President Kalam. His intellectual acumen and scientific temper are very endearing. History may treat him as one of the finest Indian presidents.
But I must be candid to admit that he erred in Bihar case. He imposed President rule by signing the document and faxing it after midnight while he was in a foreign country. What was so urgent to do that? The judgment on Bihar issue given by the highest court of the land repudiated this act. And, now, as Balasaheb is pointing out, something has to be looked into You cannot let it go by turning your eyes away from the stark fact. Balaseb has a way of saying things. His words may be laced with a pungent satire, but there is always a grain of truth in what he says.Balsaheb might have been piqued or bemused at the question that the president asked: What should we do remove terrorism from this planet, while keeping the file related to that subject on his table. According to him a person should be judged by his performance rather than by the region or community he comes from.

You should not command to Honorable Presidents. He is the person who want India on top of the world. He is responsible for future of India. May be Intelegence department want to bring some truth from Afzal Guru. At that time will you take the responsibility not to have a patience to Solve the Kashmir Issue. Thackery is gone mad. He want to win only the BMC election so he start stupid comments. He is the person who only think about Marathi speaking. Due to his bad policy Bombay suffer lots in 1985 to 1995. All the Gujratis and South Indian left Bombay and made iivestments in their states. Thosuand of people lost job due to his ill act. He don't have respect to any body. How he can see a Muslim person as President of India.

the president is holding the file because whatever he decides there is going to be a little strife in the streets of India. he's holding it so that the govt can be prepared and least damage to life and property is done.besides with elections round the corner in UP the BJP,BSP,SP, etc are just waiting to make an issue of it.
the president knows that our politicians will only look to short term political mileage. they have no time to think about what is good for India in the longer term.
you and me and people like us worry about kidnappings and terror holds to free guru. we know we can't forgive someone who masterminded a plot to undermine the symbol of our nation. but the people who spout politics are just waiting to manipulate the events.
the president has to seek advice from all quarters and also the govt before he can act.
bal Thackeray has never been a spokesman for India. so lets ignore hm

you are correct,i too agree with you,its now the time president to act and serve the Indian people and law,if he makes further delay in this matter not only Thackeray but the whole India will points towards him as a man who served the purpose of a particular community who done such heinous crimes against Indians,so the sentence awarded to him is just what he deserves and no communal sentiments should be attached to it.he is the president of India, not of Muslim community,so he has act now, otherwise things will be worse for him in the coming months.
