There seems to be a problem on my forum today http://thepilotpub.smfhost.com all I seem to get is a message like this.

Yet 2 hours ago it was fine any ideas anyone

It's the middle of the night over the pond. They are probably doing maintence on the server. If it was OK two hours ago - at least it wasn't me - I was in bed! LOL The database has an error and the whole server is offline - so they have problems or doing maintenance - they usually have a backup of data at least or even the whole hard drive on the server. It may just come back on later. Unless someone blitzed it! LOL

Maybe your host dropped your SQL connection for some reason. Try setting up a new database temporarily and see what happens.

The SQL server on the site your forum is hosted on might be down so you'll have to wait until it gets back.

yeah, your mysql server might be down, or your host is changing something
